About this deal

If you're in the market for a solid, long-lasting, pitcher blender to sit on your counter and be used for a wide range of tasks, then I would absolutely go for the Vitamix if your budget allows. There's no actual heating mechanism in the base, the heat simply comes from the friction created from 7 minutes of 1700-watt blending. If you need a bullet blender for smoothies and the occasional soup, and you've already got a food processor, then the RX would be better. Alongside its speedy blending time, we found the Go to be lightweight and compact enough to fit into all our work and gym bags.

It features a 1700-watt motor, one extractor blade with cleaning brush, one 32-ounce short blending cup with a lip ring, one pitcher with a vented lid, one 64-ounce blending cup with a pitcher lid, a "Nature’s Prescription Book", and an additional lid. However, different foods require different levels of breakdown to release the most nutrients, so it's difficult to make a good comparison between blenders in terms of nutrient absorption. The two exceptions to this are the NutriBullet Blender Combo and NutriBullet Rx, which have jugs suitable for hot liquids. Which of those conveniences is more important to you will determine the better decision to make between these two. The Nutribullet Pro 1000 brings redesigned blades and blending cups as well as a more powerful 1000-watt motor. However, if you cook off aromatics before adding them to the Rx, it will work a treat and will still be much quicker than pot cooking. However, you do pay more for the smart technology so it's best to decide if you really need it, otherwise go for a simpler model like the Pro 900.

The NutriBullet Rx is the biggest, most powerful model in the brand's range of iconic bullet blenders. Be warned though, don't try to blend hot ingredients in your blender, the heat can cause pressure to build up, potentially harming not only the blender, but also you. It’s worth noting that some soup ingredients, such as the sweet potato in this recipe, have to be cooked in advance, which will of course add to the overall prep time. You just need to remember to rinse the blades immediately after use, to ensure smoothie and soup residue doesn't dry and stick onto the blades. Famous for its compact size, single-serve pitcher, and ferocious blending, Nutribullets are essentially blenders that pulverize foods, such as fruit, vegetables, seeds, and nuts until liquified.

There’s the classic smoothie setting that the NutriBullet is most famous for, as well as three buttons for puréeing on low, medium or high. That extra power means it will be able to handle slightly more vigorous tasks such as blitzing ice and puréeing nuts without the motor heating up or burning out.
