If you only ever need 150mm, the 40-150/f2.8 will probably give you better results. It has a faster aperture, which gives you more flexibility, and when stopped down to f/4 is sharper at 150mm than the Panasonic-Leica is (79 lp/mm vs. ~61 lp/mm) as it's closer to wide open. I've not used the 50-200 either, but the 40-150 with the G9 is very nice. I'm pretty sure the Oly + Pana weather sealing doesn't really work that well, there's been posts about it here and I can tell you that compared to mounting it to my E-M1, it's definitely more "loose," so if weather sealing is a factor go for the Pana. I am currently trying to decide between the olympus 40-150mm f2.8 or the Panasonic 50-200mm f2.8-f4 for my Panasonic G9. I've had a bit more play-time with my new MC-20. It was a brighter day and I got a few more acceptable test shots. That said, the keeper ratio was still lower than I expected and I think there will be a learning curve to get more out of it. It's still early days, though I have a feeling it was easier to get sharp shots out of my P100-300 when the AF played ball. Maybe that is down to OIS vs IBIS at 300mm? Of course, it might just be that I've forgotten how many poor 100-300 shots I deleted. To be mounted securely in place, this mirror requires 2 screws if hung on the wall and 4 screws if it is attached with hinges.

Use OM Workspace (Olympus Workspace) for updating the firmware of OM Digital Solutions digital cameras. If I had a G9, I would definitely lean towards the PL50-200mm, if only for the improvements in DFD autofocus and Dual IS image stabilization, as well as the smaller and lighter form factor (which is really quite remarkable, I think).

I am siding towards the Olympus at the moment but I havent really seen many examples of anyone using the Panasonic especially for sports as yet? I've only used the 40-150 2.8 but mostly on Panasonic cameras so I can't compare, but in terms of AF speed and sharpness I don't think there are a lot of room for improvements, if any at all.I am biased since I own the Oly 40-150 pro and TC, great lens and focuses very fast on my G85, in fact better than the Pany 100-300. By contrast, if you ever expect that you will need 200mm, the PL50-200mm will probably give you better results. Not only is it dramatically more convenient to be able to shoot without swapping teleconverters, but the bare PL50-200mm is much sharper than the 40-150mm/f2.8 when it is used with the MC-14 (68 lp/mm vs 47 lp/mm). I've had the MC14 for a while and I got the MC20 yesterday, to pair with my 40-150. My initial impressions are a little mixed. Auto focus is much more snappy and positive than it was with my P100-300, however my test shots were disappointing, thought I think I should take the blame for that, not the TC. It was a dull, overcast day, my shutter speeds were low and I should have increased the iso a little. At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry.
