About this deal

Make Way for Noddy (stylized make way for NODDY) is a computer-animated musical children's television series that was produced by British animation studio Chorion in conjunction with American animation studio SD Entertainment. Based on Enid Blyton's Noddy character, it was originally broadcast on Channel 5 (later known as Five; in twelve minute segments and as part of the Milkshake! programme) in September 2002. [1] It features music and songs composed by Steven Bernstein and Julie Bernstein, with the musical direction done by Sharon Sampson and Terry Sampson. Prone to Tears: Gets easily upset or worried. In the books she was prone to tears. An episode of Make Way For Noddy leaves her despondent after she pops a balloon. In the Toyland Adventures episode "Noddy And the Bouncing Ball" she starts to weep after getting scolded by Mr. Plod and Miss Pink Cat over Bumpy Dog. Control Freak: Known for her bossy attitude and being Noddy's biggest critic. This element of her was toned down in Make Way For Noddy though still seeps through sometimes, such as in "Driving Miss Pink Cat".

Jake (played by Albert Rosos) is a teenager who visits the Noddy Shop. In "Following Directions", he was sent to give Agatha and the kids directions while Noah takes off when he has the flu. Pink Means Feminine: Wears an all pink dress and bonnet in some of the books (she wears different colored dresses in some stories) and various animated incarnations. She is sometimes seen wearing a green colored bonnet in Make Way For Noddy. In Noddy In Toyland she wears an all pink dress with a small bow on her right ear. Leitmotif: In Toyland Adventures they have an ominous character theme usually heard during scenes taking place in the Dark Woods. In ''Make Way For Noddy" they have a more humorous and mischievous theme which speeds up during chase scenes. Noddy's best friends are Big Ears, Tessie Bear, Bumpy Dog, and the Tubby Bears. Big Ears, who brought Noddy to Toyland, is the most important figure in his life. Whenever he faces serious peril, it tends to be Big Ears who comes to the rescue, one way or another, and it is invariably Big Ears to whom Noddy turns for support and reassurance. Big Ears is not so much a parental figure, but more like a guardian, or perhaps Noddy's attorney. While kind to Noddy, Big Ears has an intimidating presence and voice that makes him feared by goblins. He is capable of facing down wizards with his own spells, and is able to plead Noddy's case to Mr. Plod, the local policeman, when Noddy finds himself in legal peril. On rare occasions, however, Big Ears finds himself in trouble, in which case Noddy comes to his aid. Big Ears and Noddy have rarely quarreled seriously. Examples of such quarrels are when Big Ears harshly scolded the very sensitive Tessie Bear for failing to control her dog and when Noddy ran his car into Big Ears's clothes post and then drove away, dragging Big Ears's clean washing behind him.Hair-Trigger Temper: Noddy is usually cheerful and friendly, but when offended he can very easily get worked up and stroppy. Gertie Gator (voiced by Taborah Johnson) is a plastic alligator who stands on two legs, wears red glasses, a purple dress and carries a matching umbrella. In the song from the episode "Growing Lies", Gertie Gator wears a yellow choir gown, indicating that the song is gospel and pop. Adaptational Skill: He is promoted from mechanic to outright Gadgeteer Genius in Make Way For Noddy. Mouthy Kid: In the books, alongside older adaptations up till Toyland Adventures (except the 1963 animated short), he was prone to mouthing off to others when he gets upset, angry, or sad. He was also prone to throwing tantrums and would frequently be seen crying in the books. This aspect of his personality was removed in the CGI incarnations and the 1994 stage show.

Master Tubby Bear likes thinking up cruel games for everyone, but he doesn't like it when the tables are turned on him. Pat Kerr (1971-1972; audio adaptations of Noddy Wins a Prize/Noddy and the Aeroplane and Noddy Goes To School/Noddy Gets Into Trouble) Ascended Extra: She was a minor character in the original books and the 70's series. Beginning in Noddy's Toyland Adventures, she became one of the main characters of the franchise. She's a Man in Japan: In the American/Canadaian dub of "Noddy's Toyland Adventures", Sly is female. Sly and Gobbo take advantage of Noddy and con him into giving them free rides until he runs out of fuel.Cheerful Child: At least in Make Way For Noddy, and Noddy In Toyland especially since she's voiced by an actual child in the US/Canadian dub. Rox (played by Lauren Collins) is a girl who, along with Grit, challenged Kate and D.J. to a race in Sports Day. The other toys can hear him coming by the distinctive "Parp Parp" sound of his car's horn and the jingle of the bell on his blue hat. Often he uses his car to visit all of the places in Toyland. When his taxi business is not doing so well, or when he needs help, Noddy turns to Big Ears. Big Ears will often lend him what he needs. On occasion, Noddy will allow people to make his head nod, in exchange for small items such as his morning milk. Island Princess (voiced by Alyson Court) is a wooden carving, rather like a ship's figurehead, in a traditional Hawaiian costume. She sees everything that goes on in the shop, and sometimes alerts the toys to the pranks of the Goblins. Jayne Eastwood as Agatha Flugelschmidt, Noah's scatterbrained sister, who owns the hat shop next door. She is good friends with the children, who call her Aunt Agatha. She is married, but her husband is unseen.
