About this deal

In the end it will depend on your personal preference, but you have several options available. Apart from the Lord of Pain ability or the one from the Blissbrew Homonculus, there are no other synergistic abilities, so when dividing the warband in the 3 groups you could have completely heterogeneous groups each specialized in something. Pros and cons of the Slaanesh Sybarites Those Seeker warriors acquiring an Exalted Steed of Slaanesh can cross the battlefield at incredible speed. The Slaangors are in the middle between a cavalry piece (6″ Movement but not mounted) and a damage dealer, being slightly more efficient in killing than a Symbaresh. Their special ability costs a Double and, combined with the 2″ range of their weapon, allows them to get really close to an enemy without necessarily engaging them. Note: if you haven’t read the basic rules for Warcry before reading this article, it might be helpful to know that the game’s abilities are activated by using 6 dice that you roll at the start of your turn. Ellarr: At 190 points they were competing with the cheaper Harridans for ‘elite’ infantry in Nighthaunt, and I tended to go with Harridans because they had a nice little defensive ability and typically did more damage. Now that the Revenants have lost their full reroll to hits ability, the comparison gets even uglier and I don’t see a place for Revenants in any of my lists until the new book is out. They still have retreat and charge which is obviously great, but the effectiveness of this unit has been significantly diminished.

The Hellstriders are the “heavy” cavalry of the Hedonites. With Toughness 4 they are between the most resistant in the warband, combined with the 20 wounds (25 for the Hellreaver) and the 2” weapon range they should resist longer than the rest. Lest this article accumulate too much “Old man yelling at cloud energy” I do want to mention that it’s not all bad – the rules for Blissbarb Archers are pretty much what you’d want from a battleline chaff unit/archer unit: I don’t really understand what Games Workshop was thinking here, because while I see the reasoning behind not giving Grand Aliiance: Death a top shelf ranged unit (that’s not their thing after all), I would at least expect they would give us a unit that can do something. This unit doesn’t do anything.

Bonus mini-HTPE: Orangey Yellow

The remaining stuff is quite positive. The Bladelords are good, bodyguards for your more delicate or important Heroes like Teclis or the Scinari Cathaller are extremely important if you have the space. The wardens are your bread and butter and youll be buying a fair number of them anyway so good start to include them here. Orangey/Brown fur and Yellow fabric (it’s not very visible on this guy but it’s on the shield) complimented the blue skin quite nicely and I’d finally found a really easy way to paint Orangey Yellow (Yellow ink with a Fuegan Orange wash, thank me later). I didn’t just paint one Gor though I painted his friends too. The leader and the Claw-Spear have access to Impaling Strike, an ability that for a Triple allows to do damage on charge (if you finish a movement within 1” of an enemy do as much as 6 damage). The Deathrattle Skeletons are a bit of a miss, but not entirely. While I don’t care for them as much as Deadwalker Zombies or Dire Wolves I think they have value, especially if you intend to play a more casual game. Get a Necromancer or Wight Lord to go with them and they’ll hold their own just fine. Final Verdict: Must-buy Lumineth Realm-Lords – Vanari Shining Host I’m sorry that this is the route we’ve had to take. The only other option in the shirt term would have been to stop producing top 3 articles, but we really didn’t want to do that.

As previously mentioned, the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar is set to shake up a fair few rules and create some interesting opportunities for your Hedonite armies. To find out just how they’ll be adapting to these changes, we asked our playtester and tournament-winning master of all things Slaanesh Mike Willson to give us his thoughts and advice. I also painted up some Ungors using the same scheme the next day, I bought the BoC Start Collecting box so I might as well, right? Holy moley this is a good deal. Almost everything here is absolutely worth taking and has competitive viability. The Vengorian Lord is one of the more powerful units in the book, granting a reduction in rend to enemy units it is in combat with and being a solid combat monster in its own right. Deadwalker Zombies are considered the choice battleline, with their nasty 6″ pile-in and ability to inflict mortals on 6s. The fact you’re given 2 boxes is extremely welcome. Finally the Blood Knights are a powerful hammer, fast, able to inflict a ton of damage and resilient in their own right.

Just before the launch of the new wave of Slaanesh mortals, Games Workshop presented different tutorials to get ready as soon as you can put your hands on the newest models in town. Blissbarb Archers are the lowest echelon of mortal Hedonites of Slaanesh, which means that they’re not even permitted the ecstasy of duking it out in melee combat with all their sensation-seeking friends.

Our goal is to build upon and consolidate the great work already being done by other community members across various forums, reddit threads, and hobby blogs, and bring together a comprehensive library of all these useful Build Instruction booklets. Arkanaut Admiral – An absolute all star giving out +1 rend to a non Skyvessel, a free command ability to his flagship and the Thunderers every turn. The list and interactions – This type of list really wants to be one drop to decide who is going first due to how fragile the list can be and how close some of the deployments are. Zilfin allows the Frigate to become battleline helping to have two behemoths in a one drop list. Brett: Slaves to Darkness is currently the most played faction in AoS, Legion of the First Prince, though, isn’t being taken as often as some others. So it’s refreshing to see a very different list with a mix of units seen often and some less common ones (including BeLakor himself). Chaos Maruader Horseman and the Warshrine make a return with the more common Chaos Knights (and the OP Mark of Nurgle – how do you kill these things), Corvus Cabal and Chosen. Everything fits into a Battle Regiment to try and control priority. With 2 Chaos Sorceror Lords and Belakor, the Soulscream Bridge is a good investment to overcome the slow movement of the Chosen. This does however mean the Knight of Shrouds is even more pointless than it was before, as these guys do what he does for free. We expect a rewrite for the KoS on foot when it comes time for the battletome on that basis.Blissbarb Archers who’ve had a close shave with an enemy blade may discover that they’re moved by the desire to find and tame an Exalted Steed of their god – which is even more likely to kill them, much to their alarm.
