About this deal

Watch the action unfold seamlessly with Smooth Motion: reducing blur and screen lag for clearer, more fluid scenes In 2021 Hisense launched its first Mini-LED display in the U9GQ. That has now been followed up with the 2022 flagship U8HQ model. Hisense is also adopting some more advanced gaming features with the inclusion of ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). Lag with this model is claimed to be less than 20ms. Percentage Luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white output Problems still persist. The scene in Skyfall (Dolby Vision Bright) where Bond is served a martini at the Macau gambling palace features smearing, but at least it’s better controlled (just). Animation can suffer too, as an episode of The Simpsons eluded the Hisense’s grip.

The performance is decent and best suited for broadcast as it serves up clear dialogue quality. It’s also offers decent panning across the soundstage, as well as offering some specificity in terms of where sounds emanate from. Despite being a mid-range TV, Hisense promises best-in-class overall video and audio from the U7HQ. This model supports all HDR formats and boasts a wide colour range. There’s also a game mode for PC and console users.

You work at BID, what a legend.

Compared to the U7QF, the A7G is a downgrade in features. Where the U7Q had Full Array local dimming the A7G makes do without. It’s not a full house for HDR formats either, with the Hisense able to decode HDR10+ but not officially certified for it.

Never miss a detail With 4x more pixels than traditional Full HD, Hisense's 4K UHD resolution delivers breath taking picture quality and pin-sharp clarity. Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying small white square taking up 60% of the screen (measured in Nits)Audio is funnelled through 2x 10W speaker system and there’s support for Dolby Atmos. This isn’t the immersive sound of soundbars and surround systems, but an attempt to produce better sound through the TV’s speakers. Closer to reality Get closer to reality with over a billion true-to-life colors. Experience a wider palette of color up to 100% (typical value) under the DCI-P3 standard ensures smoother gradients whilst reds, greens and blues appear more vivid and realistic. Although it’s not mentioned in the specs, streaming via Chromecast is an option. Alexa is available through the Remote Now app (iOS and Android), and it’s happy to ‘work with’ Google Assistant via external speakers. The U7Q doesn’t have a glut of smart features, but it serves anyone after the fundamentals.

As a big-screen fitting for sports and movies, it also starts at a slightly cheaper asking price than the U7QF model it replaces. But does the more affordable price suggest the A7G is a downgrade on what came before? Design Hisense has been making inroads in the UK market with its affordable and feature laden TVs over the past few years, and its latest range is its most ambitious set.We are delighted to offer our 2-man delivery team to bring any of our products directly to your home. We understand that a smooth delivery experience is crucial, so here are some important details about our service: With its 20W speaker system, the A7G offers a soundstage that’s flat and not especially dynamic. Given its size, a decent soundbar is a must, but judged on its own merits it offers solid clarity with dialogue; a presentation that’s clear, crisp and pleasingly sharp but refrains from wondering into sibilant territory. Like the look of this Hisense TV but need a different screen size? This model is also available in the following sizes:

We’re now onto VIDAA U 5.0 and if there’s a difference between this version and previous one, then I’m not seeing it. That said, despite its plain appearance, there’s no argument about navigation and operation. The VIDAA interface is easy to use and there’s something to be said about an interface that settles for that level of simplicity. UHD brings sharp, realistic pictures with natural motion detail and the 75A7GTUK is no exception. Featuring over a billion shades with Quantum Dot colour, you can get closer to reality. With smoother gradients and more vivid reds, greens, and blues, you’ll feel like part of the action no matter what you choose to watch.Founded 1969, Hisense is a Chinese electronics company. While its early stages focused on radios and OEM manufacturing, it has more recently branched out to the UK market with a range of audiovisual devices including televisions and set-top boxes. Percentage luminance drop at 20 degree vertical angle from the centre of the screen with 100% white output
