About this deal

Even if this was possible, from both Earthrise Primes I have(mainline and Netflix), the joints aren’t tight enough to hold up the extra weight from Ultra Magnus’ armor, especially the knees. Bubble wrap is still used for fragile items and some preowned toys but the majority of our parcels use brown kraft paper. I do like the RID inspired alt mode for Siege Magnus and I like how the inner robot looks like Prime but there are also some differences.

Might be because the initial design doesn’t show the rib cage at all unless it’s somewhere on his back. Extra props for the moulded spots for an Autobot sigil and then not even bothering to sticker or tampograph them. Ultra Magnus' sole accessory (other than those twin missile launchers you attach to the shoulders anyway), is his "RT-15 Stethoscopic Detector" blaster rifle, which remains unchanged from the Siege release. These affiliate advertising programs are designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to those affiliated sites. It also results in the feet not being able to be straightened when in altform giving the back of the trailer a weird appearance. Im assuming the word "realistic" was meant as resembling what raptors looked like in jurassic Park as that's what was mentioned earlier. From the front it looks great, but anything past the doors and you have to wonder if less effort was made simply because the designers knew it would be covered up for the most part. Alt mode looks like a disaster, which is unfortunately reminiscent of the POTP Leader OP molds, who also had awful alt modes.

However, it does seem that the designers missed a trick by not having it compatible with the Modulators. My copy of Ultra Magnus came with a card of the Ark, the spaceship in which the Autobots travelled across the cosmos (and thanks to the recent Titan class release, we can consider an actual character as well). Best I can describe him is a slightly-simplified, chunkier Earthrise Prime (take a drink every time I mention him). Ultra Magnus transforms into a cab truck with car-carrier trailer, with the inner robot directly transforming into the cab whilst the armour parts-forms together into the trailer. But one of the coolest features of the War for Cybertron Ultra Magnus figure (whether it be the Siege or Kingdom versions), is the fully working Magnus armour feature, which sees the armoured pieces of the robot remove to reveal a fully moulded and articulated inner robot underneath. Worlds collide when the Maximals and Predacons join the fight, coming together with the Autobots and Decepticons in an epic battle that will alter their destiny forever. This Magnus might be too heavy to be able to pull off any dynamic display stand-aided poses, but when it comes to ones where its two feet are on the ground there isn't a lot to be disappointed about. Unfortunately, the Kingdom version is based heavily upon the Siege one rather than being an entirely new model. Siege Magnus didn't exactly wow me, and the vehicle mode on this new Kingdom figure leaves a lot to be desired IMO.

Dinobot was based on the 90s Jurassic park idea of what a raptor looked like and that's the hands position you see on many images which Hasbro probably took inspiration of. As a key player in Transformers: The Movie, any Studio Series 86 display is also going to need an Ultra Magnus so as far as that goes this is definitely your best bet.

The Siege base molde needed more engineering changes for the trailer for Kingdom (frankly, I expected them do have the red part on bottom). You can see the top half of the figure through the window on the front but this box is definitely more about the artwork, with the front featuring Magnus in alt mode while robot mode appears along that diagonal spine. Getting it loose of all these ties is a challenge in itself, making it feel even more like a reward when it's finally free. mostly no, I don't agree, my only complaint about Ractonite's final design is his weird left shoulder and lack of hands, other than that the Witch-King head and the giant skull armor shoulder are what sells him for me, and the original design doesn't look to me like it has real hands either anyway.

The combination of both the War for Cybertron trilogy and Studio Series 86 lines has proven quite effective in getting fans old and new back into Transformers toys, especially those (like myself) who have always dreamed of completing a relatively screen-accurate cast of Transformers: The Movie in modern form. It's very rare that an Optimus Prime figure isn't a winner in a Transformers toy line, so Magnus' inner robot was very unlikely to turn out badly. All audio, visual and textual content on this site (including all names, characters, images, trademarks and logos) are protected by trademarks, copyrights and other Intellectual Property rights owned by Hasbro or its subsidiaries, licensors, licensees, suppliers and accounts.
