Since then, Ed Eaves and I have created around one book every year, with book 11 due out this summer. Whereas his mum was a playful sharer – she’d listen to his questions such as ‘Why does cheese on toast always go stringy? It's fantastic that there are so many Albie adventures, and we are looking forward to exploring them all.The fun starts right from the first page where Caryl and Ed give the reader a list of things to spot throughout the book, centred around the book’s theme. I rarely make such a claim, however, The Many Worlds of Albie Bright is a novel that gripped me from the start and to risk adding cliché … no, I couldn’t put it down. The most famous and feared pirate on the high seas was Blackbeard, who was known for setting prisoners’ beards on fire!
