While Pilgrim's Progress does not have a special place in my heart, this edition of Little Pilgrim's Progress has helped me find some ways to appreciate the story again, and for that I am grateful. John Bunyan's ability to combine a dynamic adventure story with biblical truth has captivated the minds and hearts of children and adults for centuries.

It preserves the original plotlines of Bunyan's classic while telling the story of Little Christian and Christiana in a way that kids can understand. The kids are learning allegorical truth without even realizing it, and I have been shocked at many times during family devotions when the kids will say something like "Oh, that's like when little Christian talks to . Some of the other illustrated editions I've seen are not very beautiful, which could send me into a rant about art and Christianity, but this one is truly gorgeous. There are some problems with how disabilities are portrayed that might discourage kids with disabilities (this is true for more than one Christian allegory). Background/Overview: This beautiful new edition of "Little Pilgrim's Progress" (1947) with the characters adapted to be animals is a captivating edition for children and parents.
