About this deal

The handle bars have nice grips on each end with little nobbly bits for extra grip too, and the wheels aren't tyres!

thanks to its aluminium frame – which made it really easy for both our testers to get to grips with and move around on. If you’re after an affordable balance bike to get your child used to two-wheels, this popular model from kids’ brand Chicco is a great choice. There’s also a plastic “motor” which is fixed to the underside of the bike frame with kid-friendly screws – the idea being your child can while away some time tinkering with the motor using the mini screwdriver. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .Product DescriptionProduct Description The Chicco Red Bullet Balance Bike is the ultra-lightweight balance bike that helps your child to gain self-confidence and develop the balance necessary to ride on two wheels, facilitating the subsequent transition to a bicycle with pedals. Our tall-for-their-age three-year-old tester was more comfortable when the bike was on the higher setting, and they found the kid-specific, short-reach brake levers really easy to operate. As expected, the poor geometry of the Red Bullet was an issue as our testers found the bike more difficult to handle and more twitchy as compared to other balance bikes they have tested. That's why we developed Balance Bike - ECO+: thanks with our strong expertise on Balance Bikes, we shaped the design and feature of the first ever Balance Bike made in recycled plastic.

When the bike arrived it wasn't built so my other half had to assemble it but it was so easy I think even Logan could have managed it. While some balance bikes come with brakes, others rely on your child to use their feet to slow down and stop. It has the Chicco logo at the front and 'chicco red-bullet' on either side of the frame and it looks quite good, not overly tacky like some bikes can be. it comes with front and rear brakes (a rarity for a balance bike), which are colour-coded, like the brand’s main range of kids’ bikes, to make it easy for little ones to get to grips with. I agree that Puky bikes are really robust and easy for them to ride and would heartily endorse the Toddlebike for tinies - it's so light it gives them a great intro. You get some neat features such as a footrest for putting feet on when you're going fast and a cushioned stem cover to protect delicate parts if ever needed.
