Now that House of the Dragonhas premiered, all eyes are on when it will come to DVD and Blu-ray. There is some great news in the fact that the Game of Thrones prequel should get a DVD release date. While it does air on HBO Max, it’s a HBO show and HBO shows still head to DVD and Blu-ray. It takes a while for the release to happen. We’ll need to wait until all 10 episodes of the season have aired. Here’s what we can work out for now. House of the Dragon DVD release date predictions It sounds like it was a playful Christopher Nolan who got chatting following an event for his megahit Oppenheimer in Los Angeles earlier this week. While we thought the conflict between Aegon II and Rhaenyra over Viserys’ vacant throne would be more of a centerpiece to the season, we’ve instead come to see the show’s slower arc: Season 1, like a prologue of sorts, merely sets the stage for the two-year war that will decide the King of Westeros. (If you want to avoid Season 2 spoilers, stay away from articles summarizing the Dance of the Dragons.) Overall, after never seeing a Game of Thrones episode, I rather enjoyed this opener to the prequel, although it would be easier to get into it if I had subtitles, given most of the cast mumble a fair bit. So, it’s like X-Factor, but less drawn out, or like the Conservative Party Leadership contest, but with less idiots. I mean, sure, yeah. [I like to do] anything that’s worth telling, that’s a good story, that’s innovative, that [has] great characters.”
