BBC Studios Kids & Family are excited to share that Series 3 of the much-loved Emmy® and BAFTA award-winning animated series Bluey will make its UK free-to-air premiere on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer from Monday 27th November. Additionally the term batter and batsman are used interchangably in this episode. While both were used equally, the correct term as of 2021 is now batter, as it is more inclusive. Since launching in Australia in 2018, Bluey has gained millions of fans around the world; widely lauded for its heartfelt and funny portrayal of family life and celebration of play. Celebrity fans include Eva Mendes, Natalie Portman, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who have all appeared in the show in cameo roles. While I get emotional at this beautiful episode that perfectly encapsulates what fair play, bravery and chasing your dreams all look like, my kids just look bemused.

Series 3 builds on the first two series with new friends and locations. The new-to-CBeebies episodes include a range of humorous - and sometimes poignant - stories based around family life in the Heeler’s home. Rusty's first challenge in his time behind the bat is to try to hit the ball precisely. He initially hit his mum with one. Also, he initially struggles to hit on uneven surfaces.
