About this deal

A dumb resolution that made me feel like there was no plot at all. What even was the problem?? The contract?? The bet? Why was she so upset with Hades and then suddenly forget all about it when she saw him again?? Persephone barely functions as a protagonist, let alone a heroine. Her motivations are all over the place: does she want adventure, a life outside her mother's grasp? Does she want passion and/or love (two things that are alternately conflated and differentiated, as the situation dictates)? Does she want to trust Hades and challenge her preconceived notions of him? Or does she want those notions confirmed, despite his words and actions? Unleashed Dark — The Concentrated Darkness releases its energies inflicting 12188 to 12812 Dark damage to enemies within 8 yards. acest volum Zeița Primăverii a fost ultima cretină/fraieră/ nesuferită/ egoistă /incultă / proastă și dacă eram în locul ei efectiv muream de rușine. I’ve read a lot of good books in the past year and let me tell you, this was definitely not one of them. 🚫

I also ended up liking Apollo too, I hope we get more of him in the next book and get to see him become an even better god! Anyway, Persephone buys into this reputation and often accuses him of this and worse, and Hades hardly ever stands up for himself. At worst he stays silent, and at best he'll say something along the lines of, "It's not like that," but doesn't follow up with an explanation. He allows Persephone to continue thinking ill of him, then gets irritated when she thinks ill of him. If he truly didn't care about anyone's opinion this would make sense, but he tells Persephone more than once that HER opinion matters. He just doesn't seem willing to do much to change it.Miss girl, what? Yep, just make up for having the most boring main character in NA history by stereotyping the shit out of her best friend, that'll do! I’d planned to unhaul and take down my review of the first book because I had no wish to continue, but the review keeps getting comments every now and then. I lowkey feel pressured to see this through. I might remove both in the future still. For now, let’s hope for the best for book 3. Hades’ behavior will make Persephone question everything she knows about him and their relationship. Although their spark still glimmers in the distance, is it strong enough to save them? A Touch of Malice (2021)

I'm trying to see it in a more logical standpoint. I do agree that Persephone might need to learn more about letting go and accept what happened have to happen and all... What I don't like was how she acted during the said learning curve. She never did truly learn in the end. She never really get that moment of clarity of how her decisions were wrong and contemplated it maturely. Sure, she was sad and regretted it but I don't see how she learned from it. I was excited to read "A Touch of Darkness" based on the synopsis I was given. A modern retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth? Great! A Touch of Darkness strays from the typical writing style of the genre by utilizing a third-person POV. Admittedly, this took some time to adjust to as I generally prefer dual POV in the first person but by the end of the third chapter I was hooked. Persephone is a fascinating female main character and from the beginning I found myself rooting for her. Those cheers only got louder the longer she spent in the Underworld. Gildis based on a Greek mythological figure and focuses on a girl named Auren who is saved from the desolate streets by King Midas who promises her infinite love, riches and safety.

All that I got from her in this book was a massive contradiction to what she was and what she said. I don't know whether this is the point that the author wanted to make or she failed to make her character consistent. Hell, I don't even know who is Persephone anymore. Twin's Pact — The Twin's Pact heals for 20% (Hard mode 50%) of their total HP. 15 sec. cast. Begins cast after Shield of Lights/Darkness has been cast. She was bratty, wimpy, annoying, insecure (this one I can let it slides sometimes), jealous and incredibly stupid. I thought it would turn around in the end, have some sort of inner growth arc to her character but the conclusion to all of these issues were dealt with poorly. She made stupid decisions after stupid decisions. Then, she blamed other people, Hades, Apollo, Jaison for driving her to do those stupid decisions. For making her that way. It was all about her and none about other people's feelings or considerations. Unaware of the world outside and those who reside in it, Auren is told everything is for her own good and her safety. But when war reaches the steps of the palace, Midas must strike a deal – one that Auren is at the centre of – and she realizes she may only be a pawn in the games the men around her play. Somehow, she finds herself in the middle of an intergalactic struggle whilst she battles with her own feelings for the prince.Would I continue the series? Most likely not. It lost my interest after it turned into Wattpad. Would I recommend it? Um…if you want smut oh yeah you would enjoy it alright. But if you want an enemy to love slow-burn with an enticing storyline…you may want to try another book. Hope this book review helped! Somehow in her desperation, she calls for help from a strange boy who promises to help her, but for a price. There is more to be discovered about this boy as well as an ancient curse that could stop the king and his hunt forever. LUMEA! She seems ready to believe the worst of Hades at all times, no matter what he does. She tells him he should send struggling mortals to rehab? He does so, and she accuses him of doing it to "make fun of" her. If she's so eager to get out from under her mother's thumb, and her mother hates and mistrusts Hades, you'd think Persephone would take any and every opportunity to see the best in him, specifically to spite her mother. I was pleased to see a lot more of Hermès. Persephone also doesn’t spend tons of time at work, so we get to meet some new characters while getting to know the old ones. I didn’t think I would ever really care about Lexa, but here we are.

In her excellent series Hades & Persephone, Scarlett St. Clair creates her own setting, inspired by the culture and landscape of ancient Greece but with an attractive, modern twist. She calls it ‘New Greece’ and her overarching story is based on the real Hades and Persephone myth. Hotfix (2009-09-23): The Val'kyr Twins will now heal for more in Heroic difficulties and ignore any heal dampening effects. This is the sequel to A Touch of Darkness, so you can see my review of that for a summary! Long story short, it’s a modern retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth. I didn’t like Persephone. She was always being such a stupid brat. Always demanding or saying stupid things. Twin Spike — The Twin Spike inflicts 100% weapon damage and increases damage taken by 20% for 15 sec or for 10 charges.Unable to speak a word without one of her brothers dying, Shiori searches for her crane brothers and discovers a conspiracy against the throne along the way. Because depending on what you are looking for, this can determine whether you rate A Touch of Darkness 4 – 5 stars or 1 – 3 stars.
